If you’ve made it this far, chances are you want to know a little more about me. Let’s see if I can make those wild dreams come true:
I am 23 years young, but have always been an old soul. I am a recent Mass Communications/Public Relations graduate from college, and am using these first few post-academic months to figure out what I want to do and where I want to go.
I started this blog in January of 2011 as a weight loss blog. Although it has since taken more of a “share my entire life” turn, weight loss and fitness are still two topics I talk a lot about around here. The things I still struggle greatly with are body image and weight issues. Once upon a time (February—July 2009) I lost 50 pounds. I gained about 20-25 of it back over the course of a year, and last January I rededicated myself to healthy living & weight loss. I’m now sitting at ~65 pounds lost, and have about 30 more to go. I am Texas born and raised. A Dallas/Fort Worthian-turned-Austinite (well…close enough for now), I have a whole lotta love for this place. My itch to travel will probably take me far away from here, whether it’s for a quick trip, a month, or several years. I firmly believe that Texas is the place I will always come back to, though. It is home, after all!
Music is the language of my soul. I’ve been singing since before I could talk and am going on a solid two years with my guitar, Stella. I’m using this time of career uncertainty to really work on my music. This blog will most definitely see the best and the worst of those adventures.
My other hobbies range anywhere from photography to cooking to writing to making hilarious and awesome friendship bracelets. I’m just a girl who’s trying to be the best liver of life possible.
